We've planned a fortnight of shopping, celebrity spotting and relaxing in some of America's hippest hotels!

Our first destination is San Francisco for 3 nights in the Westin St Francis. I am assured by my work colleague, Amy, that the Queen has stayed here so if it's good enough for Liz, it should be good enough for us!

Then we're off to Las Vegas for 3 nights in a suite at the Venetian.

Los Angeles is the next stop on our tour.  We're spending 3 nights at the Mondrian Hotel which is apparently a well known celeb hangout for the likes of Britney, Paris Hilton, Tom Cruise, Hugh Grant and Leonardo DiCaprio to name a few!

Next stop is five nights at the Moana Surfrider Hotel on Waikiki Beach, Hawaii. Can't wait for this one!

As a final indulgence, we decided to break up the long flight home with a whirlwind stopover in Chicago, at the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower.
