Meet the Groom

Matt at an early age

A child of the 70's

Matthew Hamilton Dominique Storey was born on 28 April in an undisclosed year in the 1970’s, to mum Patricia and dad, Terry.  He is a true child of the 80’s and still considers Breakdance 2, Electric Boogaloo to be the best film of all time.

Matt’s passion is football.  Playing it, watching it, talking about it.  His proudest footballing achievement is winning the penalty prize for his local team in 1984, which doesn’t reflect well on his recent football career!  He has run the London Marathon five times and is running again in 2009, when he plans to knock 2 minutes off his personal best time of 3 hours, 32 minutes.  He is also an ace squash player.

Matt’s most embarrassing moment occurred at the Mayflower Theatre when he was 15 years old.  He was desperate to do a wee but got stage fright when he ended up at the middle urinal, knowing that there was big queue waiting behind him.  He tried to squeeze out a wee but managed to squeeze out a very loud guff instead!!  A deathly silence descended, until some smart arse commented “It’s a bit windy in here”!!

Favourite joke:
Q:  Why did the chicken cross the road?
A: To get to the other side
Q:  Why did he want to get to the other side?
A:  To go to the toilet?
Q:  Why did he want to go to the toilet?
A:  Cos that’s where all the cocks hang out!

Favourite pizza topping:
Margarita with bacon and ham

Ever spoken to a celebrity?
I high-fived Chuck D from Public Enemy whilst saying "Up tops brother!" (I turned all ghetto on him).  Also, TPT winked at me once. Oh and I remember Lady Di smiling at me once. I'm clutching at straws here.

Best song ever?
Estranged by Guns ‘n’ Roses

Apart from your house/car, what is the most expensive thing you’ve ever bought?
I've had a few computers in my time. Pick any of them.

If all food was healthy, what would you have for tea tonight?
Crispy chicken with chilli and salt, chips and curry sauce

Best film ever?
Breakdance 2: Electric Boogaloo
